Hi, I’m Derrick
Product engineer. I design, build, and ship — from first spec to first customer.
About Me
Born and raised in Ghana, now based in Málaga, I've spent seven years crafting products across three continents as a designer, engineer, and founder. From selling laptop stickers and women's heels at university while studying Electrical Engineering, to shipping a #1 Product Hunt launch, driving $50M marketplace growth across 47 African countries, and generating €18K in 60 days, I've learned that great products ship fast, solve real problems, and honour cultural context.
Now based in Málaga, I split my time between building Kallglot (AI phone call translation infrastructure) and contributing to Modatongue, a heritage platform proving technology can amplify culture rather than erase it. My approach blends rigorous HCI research with entrepreneurial execution.
When I'm not designing systems or debugging code, you'll find me cooking Ghanaian dishes, at concerts, exploring Spanish football culture, or planning my next adventure with loved ones.
